MCOP: Fidel Liberal discusses MCPTT open platform, ETSI plugfest in June

Fidel Liberal, coordinator of the mission-critical open platform (MCOP) initiative funded by the Public Safety Communications Research (PSCR) division of NIST, talks about the value that MCOP can bring to the development of next-generation communications tools for first responders. Liberal also discusses the upcoming plugfestsponsored by ETSI and conducted in College Station, Texas, during the week of June 25that will let vendors test interoperability between their mission-critical push-to-talk (MCPTT), mission-critical data and mission-critical video solutions.
