DHS S&T: Norman Speicher outlines highlights of new Integration Handbook, seeks input from public safety, industry

Norman Speicher, a program manager with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Science and Technology Directorate, talks about the newly released Integration Handbook from the directorate’s Next Generation First Responder Program (NGFR). The Integration Handbook proposes a standardized platform that would establish a plug-and-play environment for first-responder broadband devices and applications.

The handbook can be accessed at www.dhs.gov/science-and-technology/ngfr/handbook. Those who are interested in providing comments on the handbook can e-mail NGFR@hq.dhs.gov.

For those who are attending the 2018 IWCE Conference, Speicher will lead a roundtable discussion about the NGFR Integration Handbook on Tuesday, March 6 at 3:00 p.m
